After Commanding Primary Win, Democratic Nominee Jason Crow Challenges Mike Coffman to Three Joint Public Town Halls
Crow: “A New Generation of Leadership That Holds Washington Accountable Starts Today”
Aurora, CO – After winning the Democratic primary in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District on Tuesday, first-time candidate and former Army Ranger Jason Crow renewed his call for a new generation of servant leadership that puts the people of the 6th district first. His first call to action is a public challenge to career politician Mike Coffman to participate in one jointtown hall – open to the public and free of pre-screened questions – in each of the district’s three counties.
“Last night, Coloradans made it clear that they are sick of politics as usual and that they’re ready for a new generation of servant leadership. I’ve never shied away from a tough fight, and it’s time to start solving the issues that face the hardworking families across this district.
“I’m challenging my opponent to a series of public town halls today because it’s time for our leaders to be held accountable to the people of Colorado, not corporate special interests. A new generation of leadership that holds Washington accountable starts today.”
Colorado’s 6th Congressional District, which includes all or parts of Arapahoe, Douglas, and Adams Counties, will be among the most important districts in the country as Democrats attempt to retake the House of Representatives. Career politician Mike Coffman, who has voted with President Trump 95% of the time after promising to stand up to him, has represented the district since 2008.
