Jason Crow Statement on Medicare and Medicaid Anniversary
Aurora – As America celebrates the 53rd anniversary of the passage of Medicare and Medicaid into law, Rep. Mike Coffman is touring Aurora with Secretary Ben Carson – one of the Trump administration’s most stringent and vocal opponents of these critical programs. First-time candidate and former Army Ranger Jason Crow reaffirmed the importance of keeping America’s promise to our seniors and access to affordable, quality healthcare.
Please attribute this statement to Jason Crow:
“Coloradans deserve leaders who follow through on their commitments. That means keeping Medicare stable for the nearly 800,000 Coloradans who benefit from it now – and for everyone who will do so in the future.
“Mike Coffman’s approach has been very different. Last year he voted for a trillion-dollar tax giveaway to the wealthiest Americans and corporations – and Republicans in Washington are talking about paying for it by gutting Medicare and other essential benefits. Coffman has also repeatedly voted for budgets that call for slashing Medicare by hundreds of billions of dollars. It’s time for a new generation of leaders who keep our promises and put people first.”
