Jason Crow Demands Real Leadership as Trump Moves to Gut Affordable Health Care
Aurora, CO – Last night, President Trump’s Department of Justice contended that key provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) were unconstitutional – gutting consumer insurance protections and destabilizing insurance markets in the process. Earlier this year, Rep. Mike Coffman voted for President Trump’s tax giveaway to big business and for legislation to repeal the ACA’s individual mandate.

“Mike Coffman told Coloradans he’d be a check on President Trump in Washington.After trying to hide 16 months of failure and a 95% pro-Trump voting record behind empty rhetoric, yesterday would have been a good day to get started. But it’s no surprise to see that he didn’t.
“Coffman voted to destroy the ACA more than 60 times during President Obama’s term. This is what the fulfillment of that wish looks like in practice: preventable suffering for Coloradans, while insurance companies laugh their way to the bank.
“Almost 350,000 residents in our district suffer from a pre-existing condition, and they’re looking for a leader who will refuse to tolerate this brand of politics. They deserve better, and I’m looking forward to bringing in a new era of servant leadership to this district.”
