Jason Crow Releases First General Election Television Ad, Highlighting Service to Country and Working-Class Roots

Crow: “You Have to Lead by Example”

Aurora, CO – Former Army Ranger and first-time candidate Jason Crow released his first television ad of the general election today, highlighting his working-class upbringing and record of service to his country. The ad, “Serve,” takes voters through Jason’s story – from working construction to put himself through college, to joining the Army after 9/11.

“I couldn’t ask people I knew to do my fighting for me… [so] I went to Iraq and Afghanistan,” Crow says. “You have to lead by example. And that’s why I’m running for Congress.”

Crow, a Bronze Star recipient who led over 100 combat missions, is running in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District to unseat career politician Rep. Mike Coffman. He is refusing to take any campaign dollars from corporate PACs – a far departure from Coffman, who has received nearly $2 million from corporate PACs in his career, while voting with President Trump 96% of the time.

Transcript:

Growing up in a working-class family was humbling.

I worked my way through college, working in construction. I would take off the boots and go to classes. That work ethic was instrumental in making me the type of person I am today.

9/11 happened, and I couldn’t ask people I knew to do my fighting for me. I became an Army Ranger.

I went to Iraq and Afghanistan because you have to lead by example. And that’s why I’m running for Congress.
