Jason Crow to Suspend Campaign Advertising for Observance of 9/11 Anniversary

Aurora – Former Army Ranger and first-time candidate Jason Crow will suspend all campaign advertising tomorrow, September 11th, in observance of the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Campaign advertising will resume on September 12th.

“Coloradans will have plenty of time to learn about the differences between the candidates in this year’s election,” said Jason Crow. “Tomorrow, we’re putting politics aside. We’re going to focus on what unites us as Americans and remember those we lost on that day and those who volunteered to fight for us abroad. We honor their service and sacrifice.”

Crow, who enlisted in the National Guard to help pay for college, asked for an active duty commission to the US Army after 9/11. He was not comfortable watching others go over to war to do his fighting for him, so he commissioned as an officer and led a platoon of paratroopers in the invasion of Iraq.
